O Little Town of Bethlehem....

No, I'm not confused.....it's NOT Christmas and this is not about that Christmas Carol. It seems that 2000 some years ago, there was no room at the Inn, so pregnant Mary had to have her baby out in the barn. No such accommodations for the tourists.
The First Post reports
Palestinian hotel companies have plans to add 10,000 rooms in East Jerusalem, Jericho and Bethlehem over the next three years in projects worth $300m. Holidaying in the West Bank has never been so bankable.

So, if you're the adventurous type and are not looking to go to a lovely holiday resort, this may appeal to you.
The Minister of Tourism says it best:
A summer retreat to Hebron is more like going on Gladiators than perusing the Coliseum: prepare for military checkpoints every 100 yards, disgruntled soldiers on every corner and the whirr of curfew sirens.

I can't help but wonder if Russel Crowe wants to do a movie sequel :P
